Frequently Asked Questions
How does Paisley Analytics engage with our clients?
Services & Deliverables
Q: How do you define "measurable growth" and "delivering results." Can you provide specific examples of key performance indicators (KPIs) you have used for past clients and the typical growth they have seen?
Absolutely. Our focus is on delivering measurable business outcomes. What is measured is dependent upon what outcomes are desired. Here are a few examples of KPIs and results from past clients:
- For a Houston restaurant, our marketing strategy led to significant year-over-year growth in Q2 2025, with total orders surging by over 23% and total guests increasing by over 8%. Social media KPIs also saw substantial increases, with Facebook views up over 177% and Instagram views up by over 58%. Increase in visibility, in this case, increases consideration and drives revenue.
- For a B2B aviation client, account-based marketing initiatives resulted in a 30% annual revenue increase. Measuring and managing consistent contact with specific clients informed better proposals for RFPs and grew operations in multiple markets.
- For a beverage manufacturing company in a private equity portfolio, marketing initiatives and SKU rationalization achieved a one-year revenue increase of 23%, from $10M to $12.3M while diversifying the volume of clients. The outcome desired was a decrease in reliance on one primary clients while increasing contract manufacturing business and launching a proprietary brand.
Q: What does a typical "comprehensive and customized proposal" include? Does it contain a full marketing plan, or is that developed after the engagement begins?
A typical proposal, outlines a structured, multi-phase engagement designed to build a marketing foundation from the ground up.
It does not contain a full marketing plan upfront. Instead, the marketing strategy and plan are the key deliverables of the initial phases.
A typical proposal includes:
- A phased approach starting with research and discovery, moving to strategic positioning and campaign development, and then to execution.
- Itemized steps and descriptions for each phase, such as competitive analysis, leadership interviews, and customer interviews.
- Specific deliverables for each phase, like research reports, website content strategy, and media one-sheets.
- A transparent breakdown of estimated hours, timelines, and pricing for each phase.
Q: Beyond strategy and reporting, what are the actual deliverables I can expect? For example, do you create ad campaigns, write content, manage social media, or do you primarily guide my team to do so?
We provide both strategy and hands-on execution. Our work for clients involves the actual production and management of marketing efforts. Examples of deliverables include:
- Content & Collateral Creation: We develop concepts and then handle the actual production of video content, design print collateral like brochures and datasheets, and create media one-sheets for leadership.
- Website Management: This includes performing all actual website edits, content updates, and ongoing technical upkeep.
- Social Media Management: Managing the day-to-day social media presence, including daily posting, community engagement, and executing growth strategies.
- Analytics & Reporting: Installation (if needed) and configure Google Analytics and provide comprehensive monthly reports on web and social media performance.
- Content - spearheading content marketing initiatives like custom blog series and strategic collateral development.
- Strategic Business Development - identify opportunities in the market and develop partnerships with potential clients or complementary organizations that increase visibility in the market and improve positioning with potential customers.
Q: How do you define "customer-centric growth engine," and what are the first steps you would take to build one for my business?
A customer-centric growth engine is built on a customer-driven marketing strategy, which shifts the focus from the product itself to the users. The core principle is that customers' needs are the central focus and the point of beginning, not an afterthought.
The first steps in building a truly customer-centric strategy, starts by gathering direct insights from your key stakeholders which may include:
- Founder & Leadership Interviews to capture the company's unique strengths, vision, and values. This is crucial for creating authentic messaging.
- Customer Interviews with 5-10 of your current clients to gain direct, customer-centric insights for strategy development. The goal is to identify their decision points, what they value, and the factors that influence their satisfaction. This provides the foundation for a customer-focused strategy.
Pricing & Contract
Q: What is your pricing model? Is it a monthly retainer, project-based, or a combination of both?
Our pricing model is a combination of both, designed for maximum flexibility. The initial strategic and setup work is treated as a project. Paisley Analytics logs actual hours and provide an invoice every two weeks as a W-9 contractor. For ongoing marketing operations we offer the option of a fixed monthly retainer to provide predictable budgeting.
Q: Are there any additional costs I should be aware of, such as for marketing tools, ad spend, or other third-party services?
Our proposal outlines the costs for services. Based on initial conversations, recommendations of additional platforms or advertising may be discussed and any purchases or subscriptions are at the discretion of our clients.
Q: What is the typical length of an engagement? Do you require a minimum commitment?
The engagement length is flexible and phased. Any initial work is project-based with a defined timeline and budget. Thereafter, should our client wish a more long-term relationship we can engage using a fixed-hour allocation, retaining, or overall project budget.
Working Process & Communication
Q: How much of my time, and my team's time, would be required on a weekly or monthly basis?
The answer lies entirely within the scope of the project or engagement. As a fractional CMO, we are as engaged as needed, can work onsite or remotely and only request regular check-ins and updates within an agreed upon interval.
The monthly performance report is a key deliverable of our ongoing services. We typically provide comprehensive reports on website performance and social media channel analytics. These reports include key metrics, trends, and actionable insights for continuous improvement. Depending on the scope and goal of given projects, updates are provided in real time as approval or decisions are needed from our clients.
