Mark Rudkin

Mark Rudkin is a seasoned marketing and research executive with over two decades of progressive leadership experience, specializing as a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and consultant. His extensive background includes key leadership roles in diverse sectors, including private equity, aviation, hospitality/travel, academia, and oil & gas. 

As Executive Director of Marketing at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, he orchestrated all marketing for a top-ranked business school. 

His work as Head of Market Research, Analytics, and Customer Experience at the Houston Airport System involved managing a multi-million dollar research budget and guiding commercial development initiatives including concessions procurement and Voice of Customer research. 

As Senior Research Director at MarketCast, he managed a $2M portfolio, leading advertising research for clients such as Charles Schwab, Farmers Insurance, and Ameriprise

Rudkin also served as Customer Insight Director for National Oilwell Varco (NOV), where he worked within the R&D team to guide customer-focused innovation for over 200 product lines in 60+ countries.

Rudkin’s career also includes significant experience in private equity. As a director at SigmaBleyzer, he helped develop media properties in Ukraine and led marketing efforts for raising a 250M fund in Southeast Europe, while providing support and guidance to portfolio companies which resulted in significant sales growth and valuation increases. His effectiveness as a fractional CMO is rooted in his ability to leverage deep research and analytics to deliver actionable insights, consistently delivering measurable business outcomes. 

Rudkin holds an MBA from Rice University.
